Terms of Use & Medical Disclaimer
These terms apply to this website, to the free online assessment we offer through it, and to the quote, deposit and treatment that may follow. They are written in plain English, and they exist so that you know exactly what you are agreeing to before you send us money.
The short version
- This website is information, not medical advice.
- The free online assessment gives you a plan and an estimate. It is not a diagnosis.
- To hold your dates we ask for a US$500 deposit. It is not refunded in cash, but it is never lost: you can move your dates for up to 12 months, transfer it to someone else, or keep your date open.
- You pay the balance at your first appointment in Medellín.
- Card payments carry a 5% processing fee. Cash and bank transfers do not.
- Our veneers carry a one-year warranty for repair or replacement at no cost, and your first maintenance visit is free.
- No dentist can guarantee a result. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not being honest with you.
1. Who we are
| Legal entity | LUXE SMILE LLC · EIN 30-1377719 7901 4th St N, Ste 300, St Petersburg, FL 33702, United States |

| Clinic | Luxe Smile · CL 2 #20-50, Q Office, Piso 13, Oficina 1305, El Poblado, Medellín, Colombia |

| WhatsApp / phone | +1 (727) 423-4213 |
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean LUXE SMILE LLC and the clinic it works with in Medellín. "You" means the person using this website or receiving our services.
2. What this website is
This website describes the treatments we offer and lets you send us information so that we can assess your case. It is provided for information only.
Nothing on this website is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a recommendation to undergo treatment. Reading it does not create a dentist–patient relationship. That relationship begins only when you have been examined by our clinical team and have accepted a written treatment plan.
3. The free online assessment
You send us photographs and some information about what you would like to change, and our clinical team reviews them. It is free and it commits you to nothing.
What you receive
- An indication of whether the treatment you are asking about is suitable for you.
- An estimated plan: the number of units we expect, and the number of visits.
- An estimated price, what it includes, and how many days you would need in Medellín.
What it is not
- It is not a diagnosis. Photographs cannot show the condition of your gums, the health of a root, your bite, or what is under an old crown.
- It is not a binding quotation. See section 4.
- It is not a guarantee that we will treat you. If your case needs something we do not do, or is better handled where you live, we will say so.
- The quality of the assessment depends on your photographs. If they are unclear we may ask for more, or suggest a short video call.
We aim to reply within 24 hours, and in busy periods within three business days. If you have not heard from us, check your spam folder and then message us on WhatsApp — it is not normal.
4. Prices, what a quote includes, and how prices can change
Indicative prices on this website
Any price shown on this website is an indicative range in US dollars, published for comparison. It is not an offer. The price in your written treatment plan is the price that applies.
What a smile package normally includes
Most of our patients come for a full smile: usually ten porcelain veneers on the upper arch and ten on the lower. When your written plan is for a package, it includes:
- the porcelain restorations, designed and fabricated for your case;
- the clinical work: preparation, fitting, cementation, adjustments and a final review;
- temporary restorations while your case is in the laboratory;
- hotel in El Poblado, Medellín, with breakfast included, for the nights stated in your plan — normally five nights;
- private transport for your airport transfers and your appointments;
- a written clinical summary and your records, in English, to take home.
How your week in Medellín is arranged
Our clinical calendar runs on a fixed weekly rhythm, so that your case can be prepared, go to the laboratory, and be cemented in a single trip. This is the standard:
| Preparation appointment | Monday or Tuesday |
|---|---|
| Cementation appointment | Thursday if you started on Monday · Friday if you started on Tuesday |
| Start times | Appointments begin at 8:00 am and 1:00 pm |
| Arrival | The day before your first appointment |
| Departure | The day after your second appointment |
| Standard stay | Five nights |
As an example, if your treatment dates are Monday 6 to Thursday 9:
- you arrive on Sunday the 5th;
- preparation on Monday the 6th;
- the laboratory works on your case between Tuesday and Wednesday;
- cementation on Thursday the 9th;
- you fly home on Friday the 10th.
That is five nights away from home: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. For a Tuesday start the pattern moves one day: arrive Monday, prepare Tuesday, cement Friday, fly home Saturday.
Two honest notes about this. First, which of the two start times you get depends on that week's schedule — we will confirm your first and second appointment times with you in writing before you book your flights. Second, if the laboratory finishes earlier, we can sometimes cement on the Wednesday or Thursday and you may be able to leave a day sooner; do not book a flexible return flight hoping for that, and never book a return flight before the departure date in your plan.
About the hotel
We include a hotel with breakfast because the alternative — sending you to an unknown city to find your own accommodation — is not a good experience. But we want to be straightforward about how this works:
- We are a dental clinic, not a hotel company. We arrange your stay with a list of hotels in El Poblado, Medellín, chosen for their reputation and their location, and all of them with bilingual staff.
- Which one you get depends on availability that week. We cannot promise a specific hotel, and we cannot promise particular facilities — sometimes the hotel has a pool, sometimes it does not. We will tell you which hotel is confirmed as soon as your dates are set.
- If you would rather stay somewhere specific, tell us and we will arrange it. If it costs more than the accommodation included in your plan, we will tell you the difference before you book anything.
- Anything you charge to the room — minibar, room service, laundry, additional nights, or a second guest — is paid by you directly to the hotel.
What is not included
- Flights, meals, travel insurance and any visa costs.
- Hotel extras: minibar, room service, laundry, late checkout, extra nights, or an additional guest.
- Additional treatment your case turns out to need — for example fillings, root canal treatment, extractions, bridges or implants. These are quoted separately, unless your written plan bundles them into one price.
- Anything you are told about separately, in writing, before you travel.
How a price can change
A price can only change for a clinical reason that photographs could not show — for example a tooth that turns out to need root canal treatment, or gums that need treating before cosmetic work. If that happens, we stop, explain it, and agree the change with you in writing before doing anything. We do not add charges on arrival.
Prices are in US dollars and may be affected by exchange rates and the cost of materials. The rate that applies is the one in your written plan.
5. Payment: the deposit and the balance
We take payment in two parts. This is deliberate: the deposit is what holds your dates in the clinic and the hotel, and it is what tells us you are coming.
| Deposit to hold your dates | US$500, paid when you accept your plan and choose your dates |
|---|---|
| Balance | The remainder of your written quote, paid at your first appointment in Medellín |
| Currency | US dollars |
How you can pay
- PayPal
- Zelle
- Bank transfer — wire transfer or ACH
- Debit or credit card
- Cash, in US dollars, for the balance at the clinic
Our PayPal, Zelle and bank accounts are held in the United States in the name of LUXE SMILE LLC. The same methods are available for both the deposit and the balance. The balance can also be paid in cash or by card at your first appointment.
A 5% processing fee applies to every card payment.
This applies whether you are paying the deposit or the balance, and it is added to the amount you are paying. Cash, Zelle, ACH and wire transfers do not carry this fee. If you would rather avoid it, tell us and we will give you the bank details.
You receive a receipt for every payment, showing the amount, the method and the fee if one was applied.
We never ask for card details by email, message or through this website. If anyone claiming to be us asks you for card details in a message, it is not us — please tell us.
6. Moving your dates, transferring your deposit, and cancelling
Your deposit is not refunded in cash, but it is never lost.
We know that plans change, and we would rather keep your money available to you than keep it. If your plans change, you have these options.
Move your dates
You can reschedule at no cost, as many times as you need, for up to 12 months from your original date. Your deposit stays with you, and the price in your written plan is honoured.
Transfer your deposit to someone else
If you decide not to travel, you may transfer your credit to another person — a family member, a friend, or anyone you choose. Just tell us who, and we will move the credit into their name.
Keep your date open
If you would rather not choose a new date yet, tell us and we will leave your date open instead of applying the credit to a new booking.
If you cancel
If you cancel, your deposit is not refunded in cash — it becomes a credit that you can use under the three options above. Nothing is lost, but nothing is returned to your card or account either.
Nothing in this section limits any right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law, including any right of withdrawal or retraction that applies to a distance sale. If the law of your country gives you a right to cancel within a period and obtain a refund, that right applies and this section does not remove it.
If we have to cancel or postpone your treatment for a clinical or safety reason, we will offer you new dates and your deposit will be fully available to you. If we cannot offer you dates within 12 months, your deposit will be refunded in full.
7. Our warranty, and your free maintenance visit
We stand behind our work, and we put it in writing rather than in a slogan.
What the veneer warranty covers
- One year from the day your veneers are cemented.
- If a veneer chips, debonds or fails because of our workmanship or our materials, we will repair or replace it at no cost. There is no charge for the clinical or laboratory work.
- We will also review the rest of the work at the same appointment, at no charge.
What you pay for under the warranty
You cover your own flight and accommodation to come back to Medellín. That is the only cost to you: the treatment itself is free within the warranty period. We will help you book the hotel at our rate.
Your first maintenance visit is free
Your first maintenance visit at the clinic in Medellín is free of charge, whenever you choose to come. It is not counted against the warranty and it does not have to be within the first year.
What the warranty does not cover
A warranty has to say where it ends, so that everyone knows where they stand. It does not cover:
- damage from an accident, a fall, or biting something hard such as ice, bones, or opening a bottle;
- failure caused by grinding or clenching teeth, where the protective guard we recommend was not worn;
- decay, gum disease or other conditions arising after treatment, particularly where regular hygiene was not maintained;
- natural wear over time, and changes in colour from tobacco, coffee, wine or other staining;
- work altered or treated by another dentist without discussing it with us first;
- teeth that we did not treat.
About discolouration: what actually stains
This is worth explaining properly, because it is the question we are asked most often, and the answer is not what most people expect. The porcelain itself does not stain. It is a glazed ceramic with a non-porous surface, which is one of its main advantages over natural enamel or composite.
When someone notices a colour change on a veneered smile, it is almost always in one of three places, and none of them is the body of the veneer:
- The bonding cement at the margin. The resin cement that holds the veneer to the tooth is more porous than porcelain and does absorb pigments — from coffee, tea, red wine, curries and acidic or fizzy drinks. Over time it can show as a grey, brown or yellow line along the edge. This is a change at the interface, not a fault in the porcelain.
- The gum line. Gum tissue levels change over the years. If the gum recedes, it exposes the root surface or the edge of the prepared tooth, which is naturally a different shade.
- The natural tooth beneath. Dentine darkens with age, and that can show through a very thin or translucent veneer, influencing how the whole tooth reads.
Where the line is drawn
If the body of a veneer itself changes colour, or a veneer chips or debonds within the year, that is a defect in our material or our work and it is covered — we will repair or replace it at no cost.
If what changes is the cement line, your gum, or the tooth around the veneer, that is a change in your mouth rather than a fault in the work. It is not covered by the warranty — but tell us anyway, because surface staining at a margin is often removed in a hygiene appointment, and that is exactly what your free maintenance visit is for.
Medicines and treatments that can change the colour of teeth
Some medicines and treatments change the colour of your natural teeth. They cannot discolour porcelain, but they can make your veneers look mismatched against the teeth beside them. This is one of the reasons we ask about your medication before we start, and it is not a defect in our work.
Medicines that can stain teeth:
- Chlorhexidine mouthwash — widely prescribed after dental treatment. It causes yellow or brown staining, and much more so alongside coffee, tea, red wine or beetroot. If it is prescribed for you, use it exactly as directed and do not exceed the course.
- Tetracycline antibiotics, and to a lesser extent doxycycline — leave permanent yellow, brown or grey banding if taken while the teeth are still forming, generally before the age of eight.
- Minocycline — prescribed long-term for acne. It can leave a green, blue or grey tone, usually with prolonged use above 100 mg a day.
- Amoxicillin with clavulanic acid — a superficial yellow or brown stain that may persist for weeks or months.
- Liquid iron supplements — brown or black staining.
- Linezolid, and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole — brown or yellow staining, more often with the liquid forms.
- Other agents reported to stain teeth: iodine, silver nitrate, copper, nickel, manganese, cadmium, and some essential oils.
Treatments, conditions and habits that change colour:
- Excess fluoride during childhood — leaves mottled enamel.
- Teeth whitening after your veneers are fitted — whitening works on natural teeth and not on porcelain, so it can leave a visible mismatch between your veneers and your other teeth. Tell us before you whiten, and we will tell you what to expect.
- Silver diamine fluoride, some root canal materials, and metal posts or old amalgam fillings — can darken a tooth from the inside.
- Tobacco, coffee, tea, red wine, curries, and acidic or fizzy drinks — the main cause of staining at the margins.
If you start a new medicine, tell us. If you notice a colour change, send us a photograph. Sometimes it is surface staining that a hygienist can polish away at your free maintenance visit; sometimes it needs nothing more than reassurance; and sometimes it is the first sign of something worth looking at, which is why we would rather see it.
What no warranty can cover
A warranty covers our workmanship and our materials. It cannot cover how your body behaves: how your gums heal and settle, whether an implant integrates with bone, or the final colour your teeth take. No dentist can promise those, in Colombia or anywhere else. What we can promise is that we will repair or redo what we made, and that is what this warranty does.
How to claim
- Contact us at luxesmileveneers@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +1 (727) 423-4213.
- Send a photograph of the area and tell us what happened.
- We will assess it with you. If it is something we can fix remotely or with your local dentist, we will tell you.
- If it needs to be redone here, we will book you in at our next available date and do the work at no charge.
8. Medical disclaimer and risks
Dental treatment carries risks, and you are entitled to know them before you agree to anything. We explain the specific risks of your treatment to you in person, before we begin, and you will be asked to confirm that you understand them. In general, they include:
- sensitivity, and discomfort during and after preparation;
- a temporary change in speech or in the feel of your bite;
- gum inflammation, recession, or a change in the appearance of the gum line;
- a restoration chipping or debonding, particularly if you grind your teeth or do not wear the protective guard we recommend;
- the possibility that a tooth which looked sound in a photograph needs root canal treatment, or that an existing restoration fails;
- in the case of implants, the possibility that the bone does not integrate;
- that aesthetic results depend on your biology, your hygiene and your habits.
No guarantee of a particular aesthetic result. We will show you a digital design of the proposed result and will not proceed until you are happy with it, but the final result depends on your teeth, your gums and how they heal. Cosmetic dental treatment improves appearance; it does not treat disease.
Individual results vary. Photographs on this website are of patients we have treated, published with their separate written consent, and are not a promise that your result will be the same.
9. Your responsibilities
- Give us your real medical history, including medication, allergies, bleeding disorders, pregnancy, and any treatment for osteoporosis or with blood thinners. Telling us something you think is unimportant can put you at risk.
- Tell us if you start a new medicine after your treatment. Some medicines change the colour of teeth or affect how gums heal, and it is useful for us to know before it becomes something you notice and worry about.
- Tell us if you grind your teeth, smoke, or have had gum treatment.
- Only send photographs of your own teeth, and only if you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to contact us.
- Follow the aftercare instructions you are given, wear the protective guard if one is made for you, and attend your maintenance visit.
- Keep up your regular check-ups with a dentist where you live. We do not replace your local dentist.
10. Travel, accommodation and insurance
- You are responsible for your flights, your passport and any visa, and your entitlement to enter Colombia. We can tell you what is usually needed but we cannot give immigration advice.
- The hotel, the nights and the breakfast included in your plan are described in section 4. Book your flights only for the arrival and departure dates we confirm in writing — not for the appointment dates alone.
- If you are travelling with someone, tell us before you book. A second guest may add to the room cost, and we will tell you the difference before you pay it.
- Private transport is provided for your airport transfers and your appointments. It is not an on-call taxi service for the rest of your stay.
- We strongly recommend travel medical insurance that covers dental complications abroad, and that you check whether your existing health insurance covers treatment outside the United States.
- If your plan needs more than one visit, we will tell you at the outset. The second trip is covered by you, except where the warranty in section 7 applies.
11. Photographs, reviews and testimonials
- We will never publish your photographs, your name or your words without a separate written permission. See our Image Consent.
- If you consent, you can withdraw at any time, and we will remove the material from our channels within a reasonable period.
- Reviews published on this website are real reviews from real patients, reproduced without editing beyond shortening. They reflect one person's experience.
12. Content and intellectual property
The text, photographs, design and code of this website belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy it for commercial use, or present it as your own. You may of course share links and print pages for your own use.
13. Links to other websites
Where we link to another website, we do not control it and we are not responsible for its content or its privacy practices.
14. Limitation of liability
What we cannot limit, and do not try to
Under Colombian law, a clinic cannot contract its way out of responsibility for harm caused to a patient by negligent clinical care. We do not attempt to. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or by the negligence of a member of our clinical team;
- fraud, or a fraudulent misrepresentation;
- defective treatment, or treatment that does not conform to what was agreed with you in writing;
- breach of the duties of confidentiality or data protection that apply to your clinical record;
- anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
If your treatment causes you harm, you have the rights that Colombian law gives a patient, and these terms do not reduce them.
What this section does limit
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses that do not arise from personal injury — for example lost holiday time, lost earnings, or the cost of changing your own plans.
- Loss you suffer by relying on this website without confirming the point with us in writing, where the information was general and not a statement about your case.
- The acts and omissions of third parties we do not control: airlines, hotels, transport providers, your own dentist at home, or a payment provider such as PayPal or your bank.
- Clinical outcomes that depend on your biology, your hygiene or your habits, and on following the aftercare you are given — which is why the warranty in section 7 covers our workmanship and materials rather than the result.
- Decisions you take about your treatment before you have been examined by our clinical team.
Cap for non-clinical matters
For a claim that does not involve personal injury, negligence, fraud or a breach of confidentiality, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the treatment concerned. This cap does not apply to any of the situations listed in the first part of this section.
If you are a consumer outside Colombia
Nothing in these terms is intended to deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, or of any right you have under them. Where those rules give you a stronger right than this document does, that right applies.
15. Which law applies, and where disputes are handled
We want to be practical about this. Your treatment takes place in Medellín, and the company that receives your payment is in Florida. Different parts of the relationship are therefore governed by different law, and it is more useful to say which is which than to make you discover it later.
| Your treatment and clinical relationship | Colombian law. The treatment is provided in Colombia, by professionals practising there, and it is regulated by Colombian health law. These terms do not change that. |
|---|---|
| This website, the free assessment, the deposit and the contract with the company | The laws of the State of Florida, where LUXE SMILE LLC is registered. |
| Where a claim about treatment is brought | The courts of Medellín, Colombia. |
| Where a claim about the company or this website is brought | The courts of the State of Florida, United States. |
Before any claim: talk to us
- Write to luxesmileveneers@gmail.com, or message +1 (727) 423-4213, and say what went wrong. A photograph and a short description is usually enough for us to understand it.
- We reply within 15 business days, with what we propose to do.
- If the answer does not resolve it, we will talk it through with you directly before anyone starts a formal process. Most problems with dental treatment are solved by redoing or adjusting the work, which is what our warranty exists for.
- Only if that fails do the courts in the table above come into it.
Nothing in this section prevents you from complaining to a consumer-protection authority, including the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio in Colombia (www.sic.gov.co), or from exercising a right that the law of your own country gives you and that cannot be waived. It also does not restrict your data-protection rights described in our Privacy Policy.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which version applies. The terms in force when you accept a written treatment plan are the ones that govern that treatment, and the price and warranty in your plan will not be reduced afterwards.
